چکیده

We analyze the concrete security and key sizes of theoretically sound lattice-based encryption schemes based on the “learning with errors” (LWE) problem. Our main contributions are: (1) a new lattice attack on LWE that combines basis reduction with an enumeration algorithm admitting a time/success tradeoff, which performs better than the simple distinguishing attack considered in prior analyses; (2) concrete parameters and security estimates for an LWE-based cryptosystem that is more compact and efficient than the well-known schemes from the literature. Our new key sizes are up to 10 times smaller than prior examples, while providing even stronger concrete security levels.

Deniable Attribute Based Encryption for Branching Programs from LWE

Deniable encryption (Canetti et al. CRYPTO ’97) is an intriguing primitive that provides a security guarantee against not only eavesdropping attacks as required by semantic security, but also stronger coercion attacks performed after the fact. The concept of deniability has later demonstrated useful and powerful in many other contexts, such as leakage resilience, adaptive security of protocols,...

Middle-Product Learning with Errors

We introduce a new variant MP-LWE of the Learning With Errors problem (LWE) making use of the Middle Product between polynomials modulo an integer q. We exhibit a reduction from the PolynomialLWE problem (PLWE) parametrized by a polynomial f , to MP-LWE which is defined independently of any such f . The reduction only requires f to be monic with constant coefficient coprime with q. It incurs a ...

Practical CCA2-Secure and Masked Ring-LWE Implementation

During the last years public-key encryption schemes based on the hardness of ring-LWE have gained significant popularity. For realworld security applications assuming strong adversary models, a number of practical issues still need to be addressed. In this work we thus present an instance of ring-LWE encryption that is protected against active attacks (i.e., adaptive chosen-ciphertext attacks) ...

Private Key based query on encrypted data

Nowadays, users of information systems have inclination to use a central server to decrease data transferring and maintenance costs. Since such a system is not so trustworthy, users' data usually upkeeps encrypted. However, encryption is not a nostrum for security problems and cannot guarantee the data security. In other words, there are some techniques that can endanger security of encrypted d...

New cryptographic constructions using generalized LWE

We present first a generalized LWE problem, which is essentially to extend the original LWE to the case of matrices. Then we use this new version of LWE problem, which we call matrix LWE problem to build new cryptographic schemes, which include a new key distribution scheme, a new key exchanges scheme and a new simple identity-based encryption scheme.
